Data protection policy

The Graduate Exchange is compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 and operates with the following protection principles:

  • Personal Data shall processed fairly and lawfully.
  • Personal Data is only obtained for lawful purposes and shall not be further processed in any manner incompatible with those purposes.
  • Personal data shall be adequate, relevant, and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is processed.
  • Personal data shall be accurate and where necessary kept up to date.
  • Personal date shall be kept for no longer than it is necessary for the purposes for it was obtained and processed.
  • Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the rights of data subjects under the 1998 Act.
  • Appropriate technical and organisational measures shall be taken against unauthorized and unlawful processing and accidental loss destruction or damage to personal data.
  • Personal data shall not be transferred to a country or territory outside the Europe an Economic Area unless that country or territory ensures an adequate level of data protection.

The Graduate Exchange ensure that each candidate is assessed only in accordance with the candidate’s merits, qualification and ability to perform the relevant tasks required by the particular vacancy. We will not accept instructions from client that indicate an intention to discriminative unlawfully.
